A Perfect Wonder

It's official, Oliver is now a toddler!! Oliver had a really fun Birthday, all of his friends came to play and eat cake with him, and some of my family and friends as well. It's strange that I can remember the very night Oliver was born as if it was really last night. I remember going to dinner at this Italian place, coming home and getting ready for bed, and Megan mentioning that not only her tummy was feeling a little not so good, but that she also began contractions. She had gotten them before, but an hour into them, she had very casually mentioned that they were getting a little heavy, and that maybe she should start to record when they happen, and for how long. An hour into that, she popped out of bed, and said "My water broke, lets GOOO"... And a few hours after that, is when our lives really started!!
Oliver has been going through all of his presents. He loves all of the gifts, and is thankful to have gotten them. Thanks for all of the gifts, and to those who traveled a bit to come and play with Oliver!
I can't honestly recall anyone telling Megan and I that it was going to be this good. I've said it before, but that was one year ago today!

Tell Me Baby...

Oliver will be turning 1 on Sunday. We're all really excited to see little O blow out his first candle on his first cake he will be slamming into his mouth. All of his buddies will be joing us in the celebration. I'll be taking lots of pics, and posting them for all to see next week, so check in later for those! Next week we're going to Florida to visit with Cooper, my sister's little boy who was born last month. Oliver should love meeting him!
O has been crawling all over the Apt, and crusing on every legde, and window sill that we have here. He loves looking out on Megan's window seat, looking for birds, and watching the clouds roll on by. He also loves playing with our big green exercise ball.
If the years ahead are anything like the first year, both Megan and I are easily the luckiest people on the planet. Oliver has brought so much to us as a family, and individually!

If I Can Dream...

We're approaching Oliver's 1st Birthday later this month. We're planning a B-Day bash for our little O. All of his little friends will be there to share in the fun. Both Megan and I are amazed how fast this year went by. It feels as though Summer has skipped out of town, and Fall has some what given the air a little bit of a change. This happens to be one of my more favorite times of year. When it's not to hot, and the air is a little more breathable. The change in the air then leads to a crisp fall taste, with colder wind, and colder temps. We're all trying to take advantage of the weather now, come a few months down the road, we'll be inside due to the colder temps. It should be fun though, for Oliver to go out and see snow flakes.
We just got back today from the Shed Aquarium, where a good friend of mine was swimming in the tank with all the fish and sharks. Oliver liked seeing all the people there, as well as looking at the fish. It was his first time seeing them in real life. Oliver loves animals. Other then his favorite, (Tuna) he loves looking for birds, and seeing them out in the park, and the horses outside our place also is a big favorite for Oliver. Not to mention my sisters dog, and my moms dogs too.
For Megan and I, September has brought our anniversary for the past 6 years. It's been an amazing journey that Megan and I have been on, and continue to roll through. I couldn't dream of anyone else, other then Megan to be on this ride. Now with little O, our ride just gets better. We're so lucky to have him in our life, and to be able to share him with all of you, in person, and through this blog has been really great.
