On The Road To Find Out

Looking back over the last 6 months the road for the three of us has been windy, but the light guiding us through has gotten brighter with every passing day; the light, coming from Oliver. It's as though he has taken our hands, and guided us through an unknown path for Megan and I, and pointed us in a direction that is getting more and more familiar. The last six months has been easily the quickest I can recall ever in my life. I first thought the 9 months till our big introduction, or meeting of Oliver was short, now the six months from then has flown by to say the least. I'm not sure why, maybe it's the new growth in our hearts, the passion we have found for being Mommy and Daddy to such an amazing and deserving baby? Maybe all of that, and more...
As I sit here, and look back on the last six months, I can only really say that if the last six months has effected us the way it has, I truly can't put into words what the next six months, and years will do. I know that with love day to day, life is much more clear. It seems as though before all of this, I was blind, and now I'm learning to see. The past 6 months has given me more then I think I have gleaned in all of my life.

Studying the lines of my face..

Oliver has made his first trip to California. The flight over was pretty easy with him, and on the way home even better. Oliver met Megans Grandparents, and his Great Great Grandmother, who happens to be a young 109 years old. He also met some of Megans Aunts. Oliver also had the chance to meet some of our good friends, and take in the sights of San Francisco. He loved being in the sun, and of course being the center of attention when he met everyone new.
It was a short trip, but the next time we'll stretch it out a little longer. Our next trip as of now is to Vermont later next month, not only a first for Oliver, but also Megan.

At 109, still knows a good looking baby when she sees one
